Old Link by Attribute script no longer works

Since upgrading to DOORS 9.1 the attached script no longer works for some of our users.

We have always used the attached link by attribute script to link our requirement specifications. We do not use the absolute number for generating links as our requirement modules contain a text attribute with specified requirement identifiers dicticated by our program's nomenclature.

The attached still works for me because I have R/M/C/D rights to all modules. When I run the script from the source module, the target module opens in exclusive edit and the links are generated. However, users who executed the script from source modules that they had R/M/C/D access rights to but only have R access to the target modules, they receive an error message stating "Could not open target module ...".

Any suggestions?

There is a logic error in line that says: result = edit trg_name

Replace with: result = read trg_name

I didn't test this change and will leave it up to you to test.

This appears to fix the problem. Thank you so very much.
